You should've painted it Argent to give it a 70's vibe...

And.... then play Argent songs from a 8 track tape deck to boot (Hold Your Head Up.....) while driving down the road! That would certainly help the vibe..

Who else hates the black trim plastic grill. I even took the entire front out to paint the grill (that is how the grill comes out) still does not look awesome. And the recess collects dirt and dust which looks grayish white in color. The plastic is v cheap quality. Does anybody know of a decent aftermarket grill?
The lobo's grill is also plastic, right?

Kind of off-topic, but I really prefer the grill on my 23 lariat to anything they’ve come up with since then. It looks more like a Ford i always thought Ford’s looked better than Chevys, and now I’m beginning to wonder. I was considering a lightning before they canceled it, but really it just looks like a big hunk of plastic.

I am glad someone got the musical reference - You could play them on an 8-track as long as it was mounted under the dash in true aftermarket fashion. lol

I hate all these plastic grills with innumerable nooks and crannies that are impossible to clean the bugs and dirt out of. What is the actual practical purpose of such a design? Does it deflect or alter the airflow in some positive way?

It would be nice if there were an aftermarket replacement that was just a sheet of 18ga stainless expanded steel or perforated steel.
