Solid number for sure. What is your 8k average? Have you verified by hand calculation?

The lifetime average shows 26.7. And, yes, I have done manual mpg calcs to verify, but haven’t done that for ALL fuel used—only occasional refills. Most of the 8k+ miles have been suburban and city freeway. A road trip to San Antonio from home in Mesa and back yielded only about 24–I think the long stretches at 85mph in Texas had an impact. Memorial Day weekend to San Diego did a bit better yielding 29 overall and 34 on one tank.

Just completed a three-week trip through Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, and back to Arizona. 2,606 miles, much of it on unpaved mountain or desert, some in town, lots on the freeway. Not a single hiccup. 31.7 mpg overall on the trip. At this point, with 11,105.9 miles from new, the lifetime mileage is 30.5. This is on an XLT FX4 AWD with Lux package and the towing package. Mostly three passengers and luggage on this trip. Interesting to see the CC was last set at 46mph (suburban Phoenix street) as the overall average, including the off-road portions, works out to about 46mph. Top speed we saw, downhill, passing a truck in Nevada, was about 105.

Still on my first tank of gas but happy so far getting 24mpg. Twice as much as my Dodge Ram that struggled to get 12mpg!!

That's really impressive! Did you do any hand calculation to verify the computer figures? What octane fuel do you typically run?

I've seen post after post about fast driving. I get nervous at 75 mph. how can you all drive so fast? Maybe it's just me. I don't freeway drive much anymore, and when I was a young'un the speed limit was reduced to 55 mph. yeah I'm that old.

Damaged Mavs make me sad? Flip side, repair photos are great
I have a feeling it was a hit and run attempted on a victim that wasn’t his maverick

Nice! I can usually get around 30mpg. Ive had shorter bursts around this range though. Its a nice feeling. The 2.0 highway vs city is a wildly different economy i’m learning. They must average out their numbers a tad for the advertisements. Cuz i get much better than their highway number but worse in city. Anywho, not A huge concern. I drive mostly highway so thats what i bought the truck for. But nice to see your trip numbers!

I fueled up for the first time this morning at 399 miles. The Truck was showing 24.2 mpg but doing the math per gallons added came in at 25 mpg.

I didn't do any manual calculations on this trip, but I've done that before on this Maverick and the trip meter checked out to be quite accurate. I just bought the lowest grade of fuel available from major retailers (quite a few COSTCO tank-fulls in there.)
