If your truck comes in after January its value should rise due to what the car dealers call tax season that lasts until April. Big tax refunds fuel this. The depreciation will the increase again after then.
This Happened last year. Prices decreased in the late fall and increased after January.
I don’t think the prices will rise as much as last year. The driving off the lot depreciating for the Maverick will happen when Ford meets the Market demand.

When we traded my wife's last car (Rogue for CRV) at a KIA stealership, the value according to KBB was $11,800. Dealer offered us $8,000. I told the guy what the KBB value was, and he responded with "Kelley Blue Book ain't never wrote a check or sold a car at auction". (Yes, I'm in the US south). We ended up negotiating a bit, and then they ended up slipping in a bunch of crap into the deal last second. Ended up eating up most of my trade value.
When I traded in my high mileage Altima for the Mav, they were more than happy to honor KBB. Guess dealership reviews do mean something.

I work at CM and we just gave an original owner 1 month old 500 miles 23' XL with hybird no options an appraisal of $27K and we sold it for $30,998 a couple weeks later. This past summer the offer was for $31K and we sold it for $34,998 - market softening, 24' MY and new calendar year
