Grill design

I searched the forum and didn't find any threads. I parked by a Maverick today that still had temp tags. Anyway, it was a XLT AWD. I have a xl. Coming back from putting my cart up noticed the grill design was different than mine. Is due to the model trim difference or something.else? Mine is the velocity blue.

all 3 trims have different grills. XL, XLT and Lariat.

It's always been like that. lariat is different too and CP360 grill has a square panel built into it too.

Okay, thanks. That's how I was leaning, different grills based on trim. I actually prefer the XL over the XLT,. but that's just me..

I was just thinking about this yesterday and actually took screenshots of the different grills. And I'm with you, I do like the XL.

I think the square panel is for the ACC so not all Lariats will have the square panel. I believe CP360 uses the camera on the windshield.

You are correct. Only Lariat Lux package trucks have the radar in the grille. CP360 also uses that radar (when equipped) as well as radar sensors on both sides of the rear for BLIS.

In trucks without CP360, it is just the camera used.

yeah, I think you are right, forgot about ACC

These grills and all of the indents in the headlight assembly are tough when you drive a couple hundred miles through kissing bugs.

ACC was/is an option on the lariat and had a plastic square on the grill
