Fuel tank funnel

I have the older Gott brand fuel jugs with the flexible spout as pictured below, these spouts fit perfectly into the filler and don't require use of the funnel.

The thickness of that funnel looks very similar to the one that came with my truck! Maybe that’s the secret. The one I originally tried with was skinny and looked like the old funnels for putting tranny fluid in, in the good ole days when you could do that.

I never knew about this until I tried to pour gas into my 2011 F 150. What other vehicles have it besides Ford I wonder.

Our 2020 and 2024 Honda C R-V's have them.

The capless fuel filler started in 2008,

I first found that these even existed a couple of months ago while in a rental car, transporting my mother in law with dementia to the airport out of town, and having to resort to the owner's manual to figure out how to get the fuel door open! [chevy, just push on the edge.]

I would have been much better disposed towards the tech had I met it another circumstances . . .

For filling all my vehicles with fuel additives I bought a $4.99 funnel with a cup end from Amazon. It is not heavy duty, but I am not tough on my tools, so no problem. Now I don't waste a considerable amout of additives when adding them. I find it especially handy when adding fuel to my 2021 Can Am, Spyder RT Sea-TO-Sky.
