GM just shut down EV production

Arizona, through the federal infrastructure funds is entering into a public / private partnering to build fast chargers every 50 miles through all main traffic corridors in the state. There are now more EVs in California than ICE vehicles. Arizona is just as close as California, if we have not lately crossed the 50% mark. EVs are here to stay.

31.4 million registration cars in CA. Google says so.

Google also says California had approximately 903,620 light-duty electric vehicle registrations in 2022.

So NOT even close to 50 percent. Maybe they are referring to new car sales?? Or is that what you meant? But sure not on the road. I hate incorrect information,

guess you can get whatever info you want on the web. Read today the take rate on EVs was 25% and on the road was 1.6M, go figure

Look up a few posts, I linked the data. Currently ~13% of registered cars in California are EV, which is by far the highest percentage in the nation. Even new car sales have yet to approach 25% in California. It's ~2.5% in Arizona.

It's so unbelievably easy in this day and age to be informed (yet most people are incredibly uninformed on so many topics); if you are going to make such a bold claim, at least spend 30 seconds on a Google search.

I don't think EVs are viable or necessary. Hybrids, on the other hand, make sense. Also, liquid fuels besides gasoline could be practical some day.

Well google says so . I guess you can argue that its wrong but I kinda doubt it. But even with 1.4 million EV and the total registered cars at about 32 million its hardly 50 percent. not even close. More like 5 percent

Same could be said for every manufacturer, Don't get me started on Chrysler products! But you make a great point. We had a Cadillac El Dorado with an HT4100 Engine 75K rod knock like it was designed to. Everyone has had their moment making garbage.

As a west coaster...yes the EV purple hair skinny jean cubicle keyboard punchers are swooping up the EV and 700sf apartments for 2500 a month. Been living here since/born in 74. My wheels are pointed right and can't wait to leave the dust on the tents. Money is good here but now as the family is grown up more...time to be around my kind of folks.
