Now, we’d love to run a quick survey:

When choosing floor mats, what matters most to you?
  • Durability
  • Fitment
  • Appearance
  • Anti-Slip performance
  • Thickness
Or something else?

We’re currently working on developing new Michelin floor mats, and your feedback may directly influence the direction of future Michelin floor mats designs.
If you have any features or ideas you’d like to see in Michelin floor mats, feel free to share them below.

🎁 To appreciate your participation, We’ll randomly pick one participant from the replies to receive a truck bed mat/tailgate mat as a gift! If we picked you and you have already bought one, we will make it free for you!

Fit is most important to me followed by durability. I don’t want the mat sliding around or blocking anything. I do a bulk of the driving in my family so the mats see a lot of foot traffic.

Normally a survey has a place to vote, so maybe I'm missing something.

I recently bought floor mats and a bed mat. For the floor mats the fitment was the most important thing. The ones I got aren't very thick but I'm sure they will never wear out, and they aren't going to be subject to abuse like a bed mat would. None of the other criterion really mattered to me. This assumes we are talking about all-weather mats.

For the bed mat, choosing from your list, I would say anti-slip performance mattered the most, followed closely by thickness. I'm relating thickness to the material. I wanted a rubber material not one of the more plastic type materials. The material of my floor mats would not be acceptable for my bed mat. The other criterion were not nearly as important.

I have the Ford factory floor mats and they're good, but could be better. The mat does not extend under the gas pedal, so the carpet gets dirty in that area. The material is warped along the length of the mat, so it doesn't fit flat against the footwell and allows debris to sneak in along the sides. I like that it's big enough to fully contain a dropped 16 oz soda within the confines of the mat. Tested this on my first day of ownership. Make it thick and heavy enough that it doesn't slide around. Hope this helps. :like:

For me it's fit followed by durability, and coverage. Also, for the driver's mat that snaps over the carpet pegs to keep it in place, don't make the snaps hard to unsnap.

I feel that coverage/fitment and durability are the two most important factors for floor mats.

As many others have said, fitment is most important factor. After that I would say durability and handling vairous weather such as rain, snow, etc.

IMO the best ones are somewhat soft and pliable yet thick enough to be durable and most important for me is that they don't slide around.

I had the original FORD MAVERICK all-weather mats-SUCKED!
I ordered the TUXMATS because they offer FULL COVERAGE(all the way up the sides). Will never buy another set of "regular" mats

Fit obviously, but my main concern is when mats get dirty and you wash them most mats done cleanup well and lose that nice black appearance. Be nice to have mats that clean up well. My oem mats are terrible and look bad even after cleaning. 2023 XLT hybrid
