Hi everyone,

We’re TreadAuto, an official licensee of Michelin, and we’re excited to join the Maverick community! If you haven’t seen our previous thread yet, here's the link:

Thread 1: Guess Who’s Here, Michelin Truck Bed Mat!

Now, we’d love to run a quick survey:

When choosing floor mats, what matters most to you?
  • Durability
  • Fitment
  • Appearance
  • Anti-Slip performance
  • Thickness
Or something else?

We’re currently working on developing new Michelin floor mats, and your feedback may directly influence the direction of future Michelin floor mats designs.
If you have any features or ideas you’d like to see in Michelin floor mats, feel free to share them below.

🎁 To appreciate your participation, We’ll randomly pick one participant from the replies to receive a truck bed mat/tailgate mat as a gift! If we picked you and you have already bought one, we will make it free for you!

⏰ Deadline: April 6, 12:00 PM (PDT)

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Thanks again for being part of the community!

Fitness and then durability are 1a and 1b then how easy are they to clean

#1 is that it stays in place - I can't stand when mats are sliding around rather than the objects on top/feet being able to move.

#2 is durability. I've had floor mats that don't stand up to use more than a year, and recently had to throw away a bed mat that had turned into a torilla chip in the Arizona sun and was flaking apart. I need something much sturdier in these elements!

Agree with you!

#1 The perfect fit, along with the locking clips and grip on the underside of the mats, is one of our key design considerations to ensure the mat stays in place, preventing any shifting while in use.

#2 Durability is crucial, and we're committed to creating all-weather truck bed mats that stand up to harsh conditions. TPE material is an excellent choice as it resists deformation, even in extreme environments like the Arizona heat.

I tend to agree with Fitment. But durability is a close second place. But as always, if I can get a bargain, that will seal the deal.

Fitment comes first. This is where it all starts. It directly affects functionality and lends itself to appearance, which comes second. Even if they are highly functional, I would not be interested in unpleasant looking floor mats. Third for me would be cleanability. The factory floor mats take a bit of effort to keep looking clean. I think a better design or the use of better materials could make that easier.

Fit is #1.
Coverage is #2; I have the Ford all weather mats, but not enough of the dead pedal is covered.
Price.
Finish quality; that is, doesn’t fade with use and washing.

Agree with you!

#1 The perfect fit, along with the locking clips ...
Regarding the locking clips, please make them so they hold securely but aren't hard to unclip. I have a set of WeatherTechs on my Escape that are tearing out the posts in the carpet when trying to remove the mats because the clips hold too tight.

I have Husky Liners in my Maverick and Ford liners in my Escape. The Husky liners cover more of the firewall area, fit and conform better. So, #1 is coverage, #2 is fit and conform, and #3 is price point.

Coverage, fitment, and durability. I have the factory "winter" ones and they are okay. Living in Michigan, with lots of salt and slush in the winter, car mats have to come up high and contain water.

Out of what you specified, here's my order:
  • Fitment - obviously has to fit properly
  • Anti-Slip performance - this goes along with fit, i don't want it slipping around
  • Durability - should last at least a year, preferably more. if i have to replace it frequently it's going to be replaced with a different brand.
  • Appearance - one of the least of my concerns, it's a floor mat, keep it basic black
  • Thickness - not a concern if the material is quality and durable
one thing you didn't mention is price. i'm willing to pay for quality, but if i find your product isn't worth the price i'll be sure to let others know.

Fit and durability, I have the original maverick mats from ford and they are durable but they don’t cover the whole floor especially under the gas pedal which is wild!
