Okay Karen
LOL you're the one losing your shit over the loss of physical buttons.

It is quintessential Karen to not be able to adapt to new technology, then project and gaslight, and yell at clouds like the old lady that you are.

I'm just genuinely worried for my safety with all you Karens out here always being distracted by the HVAC while driving.

No, I don’t care about auto safety. I care that I can drive a vehicle comfortably, have good reliability, and can fix it myself easily. The peak of all this was that time period. This is general knowledge for anyone who works on cars.

The screen dashboard is simply a cop out by manufacturers who live a bubble.
I humbly disagree. More people want the screen buttons for a more elegant/clean look. Touch controls are (for example, the use of pictures/diagrams) easier to use compared to physical buttons. However, voice control is the way to go. It is safer than touch screen or physical buttons.

You are living in a wrong century then. Sorry. You probably are the first person I talked to who does not care about auto safety. For me, and I hope for most people, safety is way more important than comfort, reliability and simplicity (combined).

Worst case scenario, windshield suddenly fogs up.
I can twist a knob in a heartbeat.
After some stick time in a knobby car I can operate every single control without looking away from the road ahead.

FORD where is our heads up display like the fighter jets ?
Where is our full on voice command and control like the Firefox jet in the Clint Eastwood movie ?
Give us that and I guarantee you it will blow away all the competition.

Based on responses, the public agrees with me, at least some of it. šŸ™‚

I like the old fashioned buttons however if my next car has the screen buttons, I'll adjust. I've never owned a car with a dial shifter, and for the first couple days it was awkward but now it's second nature. I thought oh my God cars no longer have CD players, don't need them. I got Wi-Fi and you can listen to Spotify, or Pandora, or YouTube music. So as with anything you just adjust to it and it becomes second nature.

I have it in the Stinger, and if I had bought a Tacoma, there, too. But I'd rather have my Maverick without it.

I would say "button people - knobs" 😁 (pun intended)

that’s fair  okay I’m done lol. This is a funny thread. My beef is more of a societal / technology thing I suppose.

Screens on everything! I want a screen on my forehead! When people talk to me I’ll respond with a prerecorded response and point to it.
