I'm not sure if anybody out there can relate or not. I had a 2022 Maverick XLT for about a year and a half with 25000 miles on it. I typically got about 25-26 MPG overall. Unfortunately, I lost it in an accident. I recently purchased a 2024 XLT with pretty much the same packages because I liked my first one so much. I have about 300 miles on it right now but I'm only getting 21-22 MPG with similar driving. My 2022 was never this low. I tried setting it up the same - I turned off the hill descent assist and only drive in 'normal' mode. is there something I'm missing? Could there be some sort of factory setting that I'm overlooking that I can change to improve my mileage?

🤔300 miles isn't very much.
Right off the bat. I would say allow yourself a couple more tankfuls and see where it averages out at.
People have said that, the computer learns you're driving habits.

Thanks. I do drive like an old fart so hopefully it will improve. I thought about ordering a 2025 hybrid AWD but didn't want to wait until next summer/fall for delivery.

I get 42 - 44 MPG on my FWD Maverick using 87 octane. The AWD Maverick gets a low MPG. Also do you put in eco mode?

I'm getting 24 mpg with a Tremor. You probably just need to put a few more tanks of gas in it before you get a more accurate read. 😬

This is a 2.0 Ecoboost subforum. Looks like you are throwing out Hybrid mileage numbers which shouldn't be compared.

How were the trucks set up? Did the old one have AWD? Does the new one have 4k towing?

It takes time before higher mileage will be seen. Wait a few more tanks, it has to do with math and stuff.

I have never owned a car whose MPG improved with time. My 23 AWD 4K get around 30 MPG all the time, 10,000 miles now, hasn't changed since new.
