87. After reading your posts I may try a higher octane. Did not know it would have such an impact. Thanks.
If nothing else it will be interesting to see if you see a difference with higher octane.

Use Econo mode as much as possible (just have to remember when starting) have 2.0 fwd xl
Just passed 8000 miles averaging 31.2 for all miles. Did not figure out econo mode til about 4000 miles in. Getting closer to 36 when I keep foot out of it.
user higher grade gas 89-91 no ethanol when possible. Keep tire pressure correct 35 psi

If I intentionally drive as conservatively as possible and in eco mode I can squeeze out 23mpg. I have slightly bigger tires, but Ive still been a little disappointed with the numbers I'm getting
My guess is the tires are doing it
