GAS Mileage 500 miles IN

Well,

I have a 22 XLT Hybrid FWD with lux package thats it...so far thru 500 miles all but 100 city driving,, and im only getting about 26 MPG seems a bit low since i rarely go over 40 and try to avoid sudden starts and stops. I have an 23 EB on order but got this hybrid In the meantime, and will wait and see if i keep or trade it in,, but if this is the MPG im getting i wont be keeping it.

Just curious if others have had this kind of gas mileage with a hybrid.

great video but i can say the brake coach goes to 100% most of my stops..I rarely ever go above 0 on power since almost all city..and i dont suddenly accelerate..and that screen (the star setting) doesnt exist on my xlt..the Star setting has nothing just blank screen so not sure if this video is an XLT or I dont have that to see.. thinking may take it in to see if anything is wrong it ..hate to do that but seems awful low

Make sure that you use slippery mode as well, since it is proven to contribute In higher MPG

its cold out its winter but nothing unusual i have it in my garage all the time and i take short trips alot..maybe 3 or 4 miles at most from my home..rarely more than that but sometimes. go more than a few miles away

That seems very low. In the warm weather I was getting 41.5 average and now that it's cold out I'm at 36. I drive 95% city. I don't drive it any different or use the break coach. I drive in normal and sometimes sport mode.

I even switched to ECO mode a couple weeks back now to give you an idea i got the truck on oct 14 so as you can see only 500 miles in 12 weeks and 100 was in one day my only highway miles i have on it..

This is your FE killer. Short trips in the cold weather. Make an excuse to drive somewhere that takes about an hour, and see what happens to your average FE.

You would be a perfect fit for a PHEV. I think Ford whiffed on that for the Mav hybrid.....should have been PHEV.

I usually use Eco or Normal. About 41 in the summer/fall. In winter I have been getting about 35. Snow tires, remote starting, winter blend gas all play a roll. If we have extended periods of cold weather (under 20F), I expect MPG to drop to low 30s.
All similar to other Ford hybrids I have driven (Cmax, Escape, Fusion)
