Hi all,
I just got my Maverick Lariat with luxury package. I can't seem to find if there is the ability to program a button that works my garage door.
This has been a feature all my cars since 2010. Is this available on the Maverick Lariat? I couldn't find anything in the manual.

I'm thinking probably not as there isn't even a sunglass holder, I think because I have the sunroof.

You can have a rearview mirror installed (I have a Local shop that will do it for $150+ cost of mirror) that has homelink built in to open a garage door. The option does not come stock on any of the Maverick trims that I know of.

No homelink. Go to Amazon/Ebay to bay a remote and pin it to your car visor.

It just makes me shake my head to realize that such an old and simple piece as Homelink has become a luxury feature on so many car models. Samething in Santa Cruz.

Homelink is not offered on Maverick at any trim level. It's all aftermarket add (Homelink Mirror).
There is no wiring at the mirror to power an aftermarket Homelink Mirror.
There are a number of articles that address your request.

I have seen previous post stating the maverick doesn't have home link built-in and am looking at getting this mirror for when my Maverick finally arrives. It seems to be battery power so no wires to run.

So if someone had a 3D printer, maybe a plate could be made for the cubbie next to the display screen and this homelink button could snap in. Seems the perfect size and 10 year battery.
It's 1 inch W, 2in Tall, 3in Deep

I installed a Meross adapter to my garage door opener. Hands free, just say "Google/Siri open or Close my Garage door."

Works great. Even better, you get notifications if the door is left open for a certain length of time.

Can't you clip it to the visor?

Yep. I have MyQ enabled garage doors. I love that I can use my phone to control and I get notices of opening/closing and can check status. It’s actually an issue of outdated tech to me. I mean, I can lock/unlock and even start my Maverick from an app. Buttons & handhelds make good backups but not primaries, IMO :).

Thanks all, that's what I figured. I've come up with my low tech solution...LOL

Yep, good choice. Ya gotta Reach somewhere to push a button whether its a Homelink mirror or the standard remote. Might as well stay with the ole faithful for free !

Where did you purchase the Homelink mirror, or was it a Voxx Electronics mirror?

Do your research and get a Hyundai/Kia rearview mirror with auto dimming and Homelink. There's a guy on ebay that sells a harness that makes it close to plug n play. Total of 80 bucks for both. Bought the mirror from a Hyundai dealer. You'll find some threads here and on other maverick forums
