probably , in XLT trim it adds the larger in screen display and that was important to me and I will be off road in this puppy alot.

Having the extra cooling was worth it to me which may actually extend the life of the engine. Also, the AWD/FX4 includes the independent multi-link trailing arm suspension and includes the Off-road tuned shock absorbers.

Heavy duty cooling fan
Heavy duty radiator
Hill Descent Control
6.5" productivity screen Instrument cluster
Exposed Tow Hooks
Decals
Drive Modes: Sand, Mud & Ruts
skid plates
Trailer Hitch Receiver 4 pin

Since I went with the 4K tow package, and dont plan on going off road, the only part of the fx4 package that I liked was the larger screen, and decided against it. Wants vs needs and all…

My answer would be if you don't use it don't buy it. There are several Mav options that I passed on because they were not needed or not wanted enough to pay the extra price.

Plus, the tire and wheel package. Overall, I think it is worth it.

$800 didn’t seem TOO expensive to get some upgrades. The larger screen looks nice and one of the trainers I saw early had the black wheels…and I liked them. Plus, (as dumb as this sounds) I like the way the FX4 sticker breaks up the paint color on the back of the truck.

I think it’s a choice and what you want. I got it even though I do limited off roading but wanted the upgrades just in case. I like the look of the FX4 and for me there was no hesitation looking at the price compared to what I got.
If you want or need it, get it, if not don’t add the package.
I am getting what I want, no regrets later Wishing that I dId.
I am looking at the Falken Wildpeak AT tires. A solid all around tire but has the capability for off road while still providing solid winter or dry road performance. I like having versatility and that’s how I optioned the Maverick. FX4 offers versatility.

Good info - I didn't know about the trailing arms. Do we know how different the shocks really are ? For fun look at the owners manual regarding off road usage, it's quite a laugh.

Didn’t realize the bigger screen was bundled with the FX4. Kind of odd to me that they grouped it there and not with the lux package. I am getting awd 4k might do some light off-roading but didn’t think it was a must have.

If you're never going off road I'd say get the hybrid. Save $4k up front and $15K+ plus over 10 years
This is me. I don't need any of that stuff, but if I was going to get AWD, I'd end up with FX4 and 4k, because you might as well build a real truck out of it if you are getting AWD.

similar to my thinking, only switch out skid plates for larger screen in my case. 4k tow on my XL gives me the other goodies I'm after.
