I still am in the same boat as you. The two of us should be on the short list now with our RR,FE ordered 6/10. Waiting so long we should get, ALL THE BELLS AN WHISTLES THAT WE ORDERED HEATED SEATS AND STEERING WHEEL INCLUDED. Chips be damned get the FEs out now.
My understanding is that if you have an FE on order, you WILL receive it before the cutover to MY23's. It's a MY22 only option.

So I've been here on the MTC, watching Tim, you tube, etc. and I understand that Ford will build our 2022 Trucks. If for some reason they can't they will be moved to 2023. The problem I have with this scenario is as follows.

If my dealer has 120 orders ahead of me (just using that as an example, I have no idea how many are actually ahead of me), and say they get 5 allocations a month. I won't get my vehicle for years. What am I not understanding? Maybe @fordvideoguy can explain for me.

This is my first ever ordered vehicle. I've always bought on the lot, and usually used cars.
If your dealer is local, you might want to go visit and talk to Sales Manager for better understanding of their numbers. My small local dealer had no Maverick orders initially, then it went to "a couple, 2 or 3 I think". I drove their 1st delivered and they said they had a couple more ordered and 1 would show up like every ~4 weeks. Was only getting the info from my sales guy and it was before I even ordered back in Dec. No big deal, have good vehicles and can wait. Last visit to dealer my guy was busy and the Sales manager asked if he could help me. I knew they had a daily Vehicle Visibility Report they get and asked if he could check if my order was on there yet. Sat in his office and he pulled it up and said "looks like there are 2 in front of you". So I said maybe a couple more months? He thought that was realistic based on their timelines so far. No reason to doubt him.

So if you can do it, see if GM will tell you how many exactly they have on order waiting for production. I doubt they have 120 :) That takes the guess work out of it if you get a real number so it's no so open ended with no hope.

Wouldn't it be funny if we all get bumped to 2024? The supply chain issue isn't going away or resolved any time soon.
no, not funny at all!

Yes, allocations are different everywhere. I talked to the dealer 1 month ago and they said 10 per month. So this new month and they now have 18 on the website. Of those 18, 14 are white work trucks. Yes, an order for 14 trucks. One thing that does give me hope is, I check the dealer website every few days and read the window stickers with orders numbers. When I see an order number close to my build, I get stoked. I was told that FORD pushes the VINs and builds to the dealers website, so it make sense that they sit on the site until orders are picked up. Plus it drives new buyers to think they can buy the truck, Great marketing. There are certainly trucks getting out there in the used market and the dealers are making money on those. But get bought up quick. Thoughts for the week, waiting for Thursday
So my local dealer just got three Mavs over the weekend (i saw them yesterday). All retail orders (green stickers). Where do I find/get my order number? I don't have an order number on my signed sales agreement (but i do have an order as I got the confirmation email the day i ordered and I got the "thanks for waiting" email from ford over the weekend).

2nd question, where do I see the "order numbers" on the in stock/in-transit window stickers of units my local dealer has? Lots of meaning less to me numbers on the window sticker. Which is the "order number"?

This could be a fun exercise to wait this out. Thanks.

Allocations suck, but they are not static.

Your hypothetical dealer could receive 5 allocations in one month and 80 in the next. Or vice versa.
That’s not how it always works, for the Bronco at least. My dealer is getting 10 Broncos a month, throughout the whole year, with no fluctuation, so it’s not static throughout the year. 800+ orders left to fill.

Never ordered a vehicle before? Well, that will teach you! (been waiting almost 6 months

Theoretically sure you could wait for years. It hasn't been built yet and you have no sure way of ascertaining when that will happen. But what is much, much more likely to happen is that your vehicle will get built within a year (or much less), since you've already ordered and are waiting in line.
I ordered October 30 and mine is getting built this week. My dealer is just a normal type of midsized suburbia Ford dealer, I don't think they are a secret powerhouse dealer or something. That isn't a useful data point to you, I understand, but they are making them and delivering them.
"Making them and delivering them". Yeah, I've heard that. Hope it's not just a rumor. Still haven't seem one out in the wild but yesterday I saw a Hundi pickup. Think I like the looks of the Maverick better.

Your VIN and order numbers are assigned when your truck is scheduled. Read the sticky threads for details on how to decode a window sticker.

What I have been told by several different dealers. The biggest problem is finding a transport driver. I take to a dealer last year. They told me that they got a couple transports in that week. It was the first transport they had in in 4 months. I also live near a highway. I used to see 6 or 7 transports a day. Now day I been lucky to see one.

Same goes for the power rear sliding window.

@fordvideoguy mentioned the rail-car carrier-dealership transportation problems for the back log of all kinds of vehicles arriving at the Kansas City yard. Ford recently awarded a new contract to a carrier after the old one wasn't delivering vehicles to Ford's satisfaction.

Every time I see a carrier I want to stop and scout out which vehicles are onboard. I drive by half a dozen dealerships on the way to work and the one with the most vehicles (by far) is GM. All the other lots are very sparse.

The news that Long McArthur received 41 Mavericks last week was certainly good news. The people in Salina must be feeding, housing and treating their delivery people awful well because Broncos and other models are now coming in eight at a time.

You just have to wait like the rest of us. If your 22 gets bumped to a 23, you will still get a Maverick. Just remember that when the order book reopens in mid-August your current order will be ahead of all those.
I'm very disappointed on my order just because it's bare bones maverick XL Hybrid base model. I just want it for the gas mileage. Also because it is $19,995 + destination fee + ttl. I understand my order is Oct 25, 2021 but it should be simpler to manufacture than those with options. I am in Corpus Chriti Texas not far from the border. I have only received notification that the order has been accepted nothing else except the mass spam email that my order has changed no details though.... My trade in has already depreciated $4K in value...
