Hello everyone,
I originally posted about my fuel line failure weeks ago on another thread and our 22' Maverick Ecoboost is still at the dealer waiting on parts. I was hoping to hear from the community if anyone else has experienced this or has any knowledge about it.
On December 25, 2023 our Maverick lost power and shut off. We were unable to get to the next side street and unable to put the truck in neutral to push it so we were stopped on a two lane road near midnight for a couple hours in the rain waiting for a tow truck. We popped the hood open and immediately got a strong fuel smell. We tried starting it again and gas started spraying out of the fuel line in the engine bay so we shut it off immediately. The engine was at or near normal operating temp and I was concerned about a potential fire. The truck was towed to the dealer and they confirmed the fuel line had cracked. It's been close to 5 weeks since it arrived at the dealer and still no updates and no parts.
Does anyone have any input on this? I'm hoping Ford Motor Company could look into this and give us more information than what our dealer can.
Thanks everyone!
