Anyone experiencing fuel efficiency drop with newer vehicle? It seems that 2023 model was way more efficient in comparison to 2024. At same time all of them I drove in Slippery mode. Now I'm driving 2025 in slippery mode and it seems that I spend less time driving on electric. Maybe they actually fixed and made Eco mode efficient. Anyone experienced any of that?

Slippery mode engages all four wheels and this takes more energy. It’s not rocket science.

FWD or AWD? AWD is going to have a decrease in fuel economy, as noted on the window sticker. Have you considered that Ford may have changed the way the drive modes work? All this worrying about drive modes, just put it in normal and drive.

All of them the same Hybrids FWD. On normal Drive its 37MPG. Same route, measures are taking over 2 month on refueling.

I read somewhere that eco mode in the AWD will tell the truck to only use FWD. I may just be passing rumors though. As you get old you start to hear things, so that's my defense.

I went from a 22 hybrid to a 25 hybrid.....they told me up front that the 25 would be a a few miles less per gallon because of the new all wheel drive vs 2 wheel drive.

Well the engine was redesigned for 25, maybe that was a bad thing?

Also the '25 has beefier CV axles. Might be slightly less efficient but at least they don't fail!

The way I look at it, is as long as we all are getting over 35MPG, with every drive train, and model Maverick, what difference does 2 or 3 MPG make? Sure beats the low 20's on what we were driving before!
