Hello all,
I am very excited that I will be picking my maverick up in the next couple of weeks. I got an xlt with 4k tow package and no other options. I am kinda kicking myself for not getting the fx4 because I live in the mountains and I like having tow hooks on the front. The reason I didn't get it is because I figured I would end up building a winch bumper for it. I have made quite a few in the past and figured it wouldn't be that hard to do on the maverick. I have watched some videos of guys removing the front bumper and it does seem a little more difficult than most. I probably still will do it... not sure when though. In the meantime I want something simple and cheap to put on just in case. I found these from australia... can't seem to get any info on shipping to US, but they look pretty cool. I could also easily make something similar. I am wondering if anyone has tried these yet? Pic of the winch bumper I built on my wrx just for attention.

Keep in mind that Ford sold a different Maverick in Australia for years which was just a rebadged Nissan and probably what that part is made for, not THIS Maverick. I'm not sure they get this Maverick in their market yet and because of the special piece that's welded only into FX4 models at the factory it's basically an impossible retrofit.

Cool, thanks for that info, I was afraid it was something along those lines. I will take your "impossible" with a grin... I will make something for it.... probably should have just paid the 800 bucks though.
