Yes, it mounted with flatbar. As far as I know the rack it mounts with angle, which is what prevents it from being usable with a tonneau cover. That is pretty much the reason I built my own. I could have of course bought the rack it and modified it, but that wouldn't have been worth it.

I've seen that, I guess technically it is only for the hybrid, I would guess that is because only the hybrid can be flat towed, not because it doesn't fit.... Who knows though. When I finally do get around to building my winch bumper I will use similar attachment points..... No reason to...
