So you have a part number, what is the issue? Thanks for your reply. You're correct that Ford doesn't ship different Mavericks to states that require front plates than to states with only a rear plate requirement. Dealers have told me that.
I spoke with 2 dealers in NY about this front license plate bracket issue, and they both gave me the same part number as the NC dealer I bought from. When I told them this bracket doesn't work, they said this is what Ford said to use. I think they haven't actually had to face this problem yet, so they don't really know. It might be a particular combination of new 2025 Maverick, Hybrid model, Lariat trim line in a state requiring a front plate. Seems like Ford may have overlooked this combination.
Anyone have an after-market solution?
If you dont want to drill holes, that makes sense, but if you want to use the OEM front license plate bracket, you will have to drill holes. Ford left three little hole markers in the bumper where the holes should go. If you don't have a rivet pulller, you can just use some fat bolts that will dig sufficiently into the plastic to secure it.
