Is there an easy way to remove the front bracket for the Mav. And if so does it leave holes?

Yes it will leave holes.
Here's a thread on the process.

You do have options.
You can leave the bracket on and get a personalized plate.
You can remove the bracket and use bumper plugs, painted the same color as your truck or you can have it professionally filled in and painted all depends on what your budget is.
Good luck.

I opted to not let the Dealer install the factory bracket. I thought it made the truck look to much like an SUV. I found one option that is bolt on from Sto and Sho. Comes with correct bolts and shims, no modifications. Its a little pricey and I did some modifications so it wasn't so easy to remove. It may block sensors up front. I've never had a problem with it bottoming out or hitting a curb.

Good to know.
I'll bet the OP wishes they had that option. Sadly as they stated, the bracket is already mounted.

If it is the OEM front license plate bracket, it will have been installed via rivets or bolts through holes pre-marked on the bumper to be drilled out.

tl;dr; version: it will leave holes.

Thank you for the information. I'll probably end up looking into the plugs for the holes it leaves
