What's happening fellas,

I'm in the middle of rebuilding a salvage auction mav right now and could use an assist.

The front impact sensors in the top of the rad support that flank the hood latch are missing the wiring along with the active grill shutter motor wiring. I'm assuming it's all one piece but not only do I have none of that wiring but I don't see any place that it would tie into the harness. (ie open plug some place for a pig tail)

I've gone through the workshop manual and I'm not seeing it. I'm going to dig into the wiring schematics tonight to see if that gives me any clues but in the mean time anyone mind taking a peak under their hood and seeing if you can point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Are you talking about the acc sensor or the impact sensor that feeds into the airbags decision making process?

The front impact air bag sensors and the motor that controls the active grille shutters are what the mystery is. No acc on this one.

Thanks Darnon!

Had the plugs tucked away on the passenger side and missed them. Now just have to figure out the part number for that piece of wiring.

Sounds like what you want is harness 14B466 which connects on the RF.

That’s it !
Make sure you have the front marker light / temp sensor harness for lower front bumper cover , this is a separate little harness and plugs also in the passenger wheel well area (6 wires)
A/c will not work correctly without that ambient temp sensor.

It's in the workshop manual. I just hadn't got that far into digging before Darnon found it! :)
I was digging through it too, must've not used the right search terms.

Got that one still attached to the bumper cover. I'm going to have to go to the dealership on Monday and see if they can give me some clarity on the missing piece. I can't figure out what the part number is. I can't find it on a search but looking at the diagram I'm wondering if its the cruise control wiring harness or the parking sensor harness?

I swear to God 90% of the time I can't nail anything with a simple search. Between the workshop manual not being user friendly (I know, I know it's not intended for us plebs but still) and the Ford parts catalogue not having images for everything or even worse those horrendous line drawings that do nothing at all to help figure out what your looking at makes me want to drink. :)

It's going to be some variation of PZ6Z14B474 depending on actual production date.
