I have a 2023 Ford Maverick now has 30,000 miles but noticed a vibration and howl 07/24/24 with 23203, Freeport Ford tech stated he couldn't hear or feel issue. Returned to Freeport Ford on 01/30/25 for the same above issue but more severe, shaking while under load (accelerating) tech at this time stated my front tires had to be replaced 4/32 tread, (already) and put the rears 9/32 tread on the front, this did not solve the issue, so i left there and ordered 2 new tires, they arrived on 02/03/25 and had appointment for today 02/04/25 to install, was called that truck was done, picked up truck, still there same shaking and vibrating while accelerating, was they o told they

Was told they ordered 2 new CV axles, but not sure when they will arrive due to being back ordered, Freeport Ford let me drive away in a vehicle that is not repaired and I believe unsafe due to violent vibration, and after reading several complaints on these Ford Forums about this issue I believe Ford dropped the ball and released an inadequate product to the market fully knowing about the torque issue with the undersized axles. Furthermore I have a friend who works as a senior service tech for a local Chevrolet dealer looked at my truck on 01/31/25 "at the Chevrolet dealership" and also found the axles to be faulty...Very disappointed in Ford...People Beware and log everything down and file complaints with the NTSB and Ford Corporate to get a recall started

The CV axle assemblies are weak. They wear out prematurely on stock height trucks, but even faster if you have a lift, or oversized tires...

I've heard of others driving too long with shaking front end also need lower control arm replacement due to worn bushing that can't be replaced.

I just had my CV axle assemblies replaced last month at 50k, and it took the dealership 3 weeks get the parts.

Yeah, I feel sorry for folks that don't drive much, and plan to keep it. Probably need to be replaced outside warranty.

Any word if they fixed this flaw for the '24s?

I’m pretty sure the improved (longer) cv axles became available about 6 months ago.

I think it’s safe to assume 22-24 models all have the bad axles that will need to be replaced by 50-60 thousand miles…

Just had mine replaced by the dealer at 21,000 mi. Much smoother ride now. In and out the day I brought it in.
