Probably had to keep the front door pockets a little slimmer to leave room to access the seat adjustment controls.
I was thinking due to the door speakers-

We have found that Yeti's Rambler drinkware, manufactured in China, makes for great targets! ;)

What this means is that even normal sized run of the mill water bottles over 3 inches in width @ base will not fit-

Maybe he hasn't responded yet, but in the comments it looks like it actually fits. You just have to snap it in. Can anyone else confirm?

I can confirm that it fits. It does require a bit more push than something like the comparable Hydroflask, as it's just a bit wider. Sits very snug and secure.

My perfect door panel would hold a 12 oz can of Diet Coke and some other loose misc. crap. like the daily mail, a fold-up map, a dozen Costco receipts, and a few dry ballpoint pens. I don't really care about 18 oz water bottles or anything else that would be actually useful.

I do find the bottle holder pointless. Can't hold a normal plastic water bottle... Can't hold anything useful for me...
