Will a wheelchair fit in the backseat.

My wife is handicap and I will need to put the wheelchair in the backseat. The main reason I am getting the Maverick instead of the Ranger is that she will be able to get in the Maverick.

Very difficult in backseat. Seat bottom raised and wheels in plastic under-seat bins. Ended up in the bed where its easy to unload. The doors don’t swing open far enough to place straight in.

Ranger is smaller inside, Maverick works best as bed is mid thigh and a hard fold bed cover would keep it safe and dry enough.

I know that a standard size walker will fit in the back when folded and 6’ 2” grandson fit in the other side. My 5’2” wife was able to stow it in there easily as well as get it out. It was easier just for her to put in the bed and lock the tonneau cover on it to keep it safe.

The little camping:hunting walmart chair will fit behind backseat an XL and likely a Lariat if I tried different placement.
Handy for waiting in long lines changing tires, pulling weeds, oh and hunting I guess, if your dog don’t hunt. Mine does and brings them home.

Ever used a transport chair?

Smaller, and much lighter. About the size of a lawn chair folded up.
It would fit in the backseat. I wouldnt even try to put a folding wheelchair in the backseat area.

Never used a wheelchair again once I found this.

This transport chair would fit in the backseat but I keep it in the bed since I have a cover.

The standard wheelchair my wife uses is 32" long X 33.5" high, not sure of the folded width - I'm guessing about 12" .

I don’t think I would put it in the backseat even if it fit. I can’t imagine how scratched up the interior would get if you get the tailgate assist maybe the bed would work?

The struggle is real with a wheelchair! Probably easier and better to put it in the back with a tonneau cover. The back is large but not as large as the front. I think it would be tight and hard to get in and out. But the truck would be easier for her to get into because of it's height. No so low and not very high.
