Front cigarette port power weirdness

I've connected a dashcam to a USB adapter powered by the front cigarette lighter port. I would like that port to power down when I shut off the truck. And it does......sometimes. Sometimes it stays powered for some random period of time. Anybody else notice this? Is there a setting I'm missing?

That circuit remains hot for ~15 minutes after key off.

If you lock the truck it will likely power down immediately. Most modern vehicles have a power off delay of 10-15 minutes allowing the windows and radio etc to operate but should power down when you open a door. My Maverick is in transit so my opinion is not real world but based on my personal experiences with other vehicles.

It will stay powered for up to 30 minutes or until 12v soc drops to a trigger voltage. I think that was 12.1 volts don't remember for sure. The manual recommends not leaving an active current on the power points.

15 minutes until power down is what most people here report. My XL hybrid, produced in June 2023, keeps the power points (XL has two) hot for 40 to 45 minutes. They can be set for a specific time in ForScan. The ForScan setting is in seconds not minutes.

Yes, the 12V cig lighter port stays hot several minutes after shutting down the vehicle. I have a 12V LED voltmeter plugged into it. Have not timed how long it stays on, however.

Mine stays hot for 90 minutes. I timed it several times.
