The Ford dealership has had the truck for five days so far to troubleshoot the issue. I am using the Ford app to follow when the vehicle is running, parked outside or is inside the service area. I hope they are doing more than just charging The battery. I also purchased an Autowit Super Capacitor jump starter if I ever get stranded in the future.

It appears no Maverick Ecoboost or hybrid is immune from parasitic power drain or inadequate charging. Maybe it was a bad battery? As I recall, the EcoBoost were supposed to be equipped with a AGM battery lot of them ended up having a flooded battery.
Good point. First thing to check would be to determine whether he's got a wet cell or AGM battery. One would think the dealer would consider that in how they would solve the problem. Whether he has a wet cell or AGM, they should have replaced it.

I love my 2025 XL but I am not happy with the battery problems::
  1. Jan 2025 The truck needed a jump start in the dealer’s lot before I could test drive it. I figured the truck was probably idle for some time and gave it no more thought.
  2. March 2025 Jump Started and Florence Ford Checked battery it was low & charged it
  3. July 2025 used Ford App to get a jump and went to Sumter Ford Checked - battery was low & Charged
  4. Sep 2025 used Ford App to get a jump and returned to Sumter Ford. This time I told them about the screen message that stated “System Off to Save Battery Please turn ignition off or start engine”
  5. Since I don’t have touch start I have to use key to stop and start the engine. This message kept appearing when I turned engine off and removed the key. This visit seemed more productive since they have been researching the issue and so far they have had the truck for several days.

    Fingers crossed.
* * * UPDATE * * *

The battery was tested and failed - ran system test and passed - replaced battery - retested for draw 4 times and passed within FORD spec. The dealer replaced the battery with a BAGM 48H6 760 battery.

So far, all is well in the Maverick universe. (y)

The problem has returned!
  1. Oct 6 2025 Truck failed to start. Battery read as 5 1/2 volts and Ford app showed vehicle was on while it wasn’t. Truck was jump started and left to idle for 20 minutes with all lights and accessories off.
  2. Oct 8 2025 8:45 pm Noticed Display screen was lit (no data on screen). Remote started vehicle for 5 minutes and came out to if screen was still on and it was. Remote unlocked vehicle and opened and closed the door then locked it again. The screen was now dark.

Another update: Another two jumps were required but this time I was prepared with a an AUTOWIT 12 volt charger. Both times I connected it to the battery it registered 5.5 volts. After it built up the voltage I was able to start the vehicle.
The vehicle was left unused while on a 14 day vacation and I was amazed it started right up. A few days another jump was needed. Finally I wanted to post a photo of the dashboard when the vehicle was not being used at night. I walked assed the truck and noticed a glow from the monitor. There was not an update scheduledat the time. Maybe this is the cause of my battery problems.

Well 🙄 apparently it saves enough juice to nag at you and tell you there's an issue..
Ugh to that.
