I have a 2026 Maverick Hybrid that I purchased in June. A couple of times in the last few weeks when I have started driving I've gotten a warning that the forward collusion sensor is blocked and then a few minutes later I get a warning tone and a message that the collision sensor is inactive. I understand the forward sensor is in the windshield in front of the rearview mirror (?). I've checked that area and there isn't anything that would be blocking the sensor, and the windshield is clean. The message and warnings always go away after turning the vehicle off and restarting it and it does not happen every time the vehicle is started. It is intermittent. Since the vehicle is so new I am concerned this might be an electrical issue or a fault that should be addressed before it becomes a more regular issue. Has anyone had experience with this issue or something similar?

Starting to get dew or frost in the morning by any chance? Frost will block it and set off the warning, just use the defroster to clear the windshield.

If there is no frost or dew on there, it’s a new vehicle get the dealership to check.
