Hi,
I'm trying to change the power point timeout setting with ForScan.
  1. I was able to get it installed and navigate to the Body Control section.
  2. I located the power point timeout and changed if from 4500 to 36,000 (10 hours).
  3. Wrote the changes
  4. Cycled the truck off and on.
  5. Basically, following the on-screen instructions.
I started the truck and tested - did not work. As soon as the key was turned off - my test fan stopped.
I drove the truck around the block - this time the fan stayed on but... if I shut it off, it won't turn back on.
I started the truck and turned on the fan and shut off the truck - won't stay on.
Anyone run into this kind of the thing? Any suggestions?

4500 is the max. also, if the battery voltage is too low or the current draw too high, the battery monitor will turn it off regardless of time.

4500 is the max. also, if the battery voltage is too low or the current draw too high, the battery monitor will turn it off regardless of time.
Will it stay on if I disable it?

Will it stay on if I disable it?
the battery monitor? I would absolutely not disable it, because that is how it manages state of charge. it could over or under charge without a functional BMS and overcharging a battery that is inside the passenger compartment is something you want to avoid even moreso than a battery in the engine bay.

the real solution to this is a charging bank like a bluetti that uses trickle charging. there are thread topics about it, search. (or check the links the forum automatically puts at the end of this topic, sometimes those are very relevant.)

the hybrid battery is way too small to use in the way that you're probably hoping to do by extending the 120V runtime or disabling the BMS.

If you are using the 110 volt power point the inverter is wired into key on power.
If your fan is 12v then the fan must be on when the ignition is turned off if plugged into the 12v power points. If there is no draw when key is turned off the power points turn off. You most likely would be better off to get a separate 12v LiFePO4 rechargeable power station with whatever battery capacity you need.
ETA: If you want to keep 12v active put a three way switch with an off a small led on circuit and a fan on circuit. The led will keep 12v power on for the entire time delay or until the circuit turns off when battery saver is activated.

I have a blue ox patriot braking system I was hoping to keep active as I travel. I have a Jackery I can use to accomplish this. I was hoping that disabling the power point timeout would keep the plug active - it did not! Oh well. $35 bucks misspent.

not only do you *not* want to do that, you also want to hook up flat tow charging from your rv or whatever you tow with.

if your maverick's 12V battery fails while you're in flat tow mode, it will fall out of flat tow mode and the electric brake booster will not function.

there are toad threads talking about this. also talking about the dangers of manual brake pedal activation, monitoring brake application via bluetooth so that you know if it's riding the brakes or not braking at all, and so on.

I am planning on connecting my RV's charging system to the Maverick. I see the 6-hour tow limit written about but never explained... it makes sense after hearing about the system falling out of FTM if the battery fails.
Do you have a link to monitoring brake application via Bluetooth?
