  1. ForScan - Power Point Timeout Settings

Good information, thanks! I am planning on connecting my RV's charging system to the Maverick. I see the 6-hour tow limit written about but never explained... it makes sense after hearing about the system falling out of FTM if the battery fails. Do you have a link to monitoring brake application...
  2. ForScan - Power Point Timeout Settings

I have a blue ox patriot braking system I was hoping to keep active as I travel. I have a Jackery I can use to accomplish this. I was hoping that disabling the power point timeout would keep the plug active - it did not! Oh well. $35 bucks misspent.
  3. Conflicting information about "Dolly" towing a 2023 FWD Hybrid.

Well, we just installed the Demco Baseplate and Wiring kit on the truck for flat towing. The instructions for towing with "Neutral Tow" says to leave the key in the ignition, off, but in the ignition. I wondered if anyone has tried that to get the "blinking lights from hell" to stop. I did not.
  4. ForScan - Power Point Timeout Settings

Hi, I'm trying to change the power point timeout setting with ForScan. I was able to get it installed and navigate to the Body Control section. I located the power point timeout and changed if from 4500 to 36,000 (10 hours). Wrote the changes Cycled the truck off and on. Basically, following...
  5. Wire through the firewall

Can you provide an image? I don't see any on my 2023 Hybrid.
  6. Demco 4-diode Wiring Kit Installation

Thank you for a quick response. I couldn't imagine how that wouldn't work but thought I'd reach out anyway.
  7. Demco 4-diode Wiring Kit Installation

We just installed the Demco Baseplate on our 2023 XLT Hybrid. I am looking at the 4-diode wiring kit installation instructions. It says that on the 6-pin side of the "pig tail" - the center post is used to charge the battery on the tow vehicle. I have a couple questions. Is this even possible...
  8. Towing behind RV on a dolly

We towed on a dolly about 4000 miles this year so far. We tried all the suggestions we found and nothing I did made any consistent difference. There was three or four times when the lights never blinked but I cannot tell you what circumstances caused it. One thing I can say is that I have not...
  9. Towing behind RV on a dolly

We Dolly Towed our 2023 Hybrid south this year. The only issue is the errors that display afterward. I also noted that there is much discussion on how to make them stop. So, in the spirit of completeness, I'll add one more. Loading: I drive the truck onto the dolly. 2) Make sure the...
  10. 2023 Maverick Hybrid - Dolly Tow Safety Chains

I do wish that Ford would chime in on this topic and provide an authoritative answer and if Dolly Tow is NOT available - explain why. (FMC, are you out there?) This is the documentation I talked to FMC Customer Service about. They confirmed, to me (in writing) that the information was correct...
  11. 2023 Maverick Hybrid - Dolly Tow Safety Chains

Thanks for the reply. I have the vehicle "strapped" to the dolly with the over-the-tire straps. Many people recommend that you also use safety chains as a failsafe while towing. The issue is that I have not read where to attach these chains to the vehicle. In the Owner's Manual -in the...
  12. 2023 Maverick Hybrid - Dolly Tow Safety Chains

I am dolly towing my 2023 Maverick Hybrid. The dolly mfg. says chains are optional - I'd like to use them. Does anyone have a suggestion about where to connect the safety chains to the truck?
  13. Conflicting information about "Dolly" towing a 2023 FWD Hybrid.

I can appreciate your response however, the conflict wasn't with what Ford's CS was telling me, it was in their manuals/documents. They provided conformation of what the conflicting documents say. The 2023 Maverick Specs document provided by my dealer states: "Maverick Hybrid pickup models do...
  14. Conflicting information about "Dolly" towing a 2023 FWD Hybrid.

I contacted Ford Mo Co. customer service. According to them the 2023 Maverick Hybrid 2.5L FWD may be towed either by Dolly or Flat Tow. When flat towing the Neutral Tow must be engaged, and the engine started every six hours (I assume because Neutral Tow requires battery power). So, it appears...
  15. Conflicting information about "Dolly" towing a 2023 FWD Hybrid.

I would prefer to dolly tow. I have towed a Jeep (flat tow) for several years, so I am very familiar with the process. My big concerns with Flat Towing are - Installation. I have had so many things "half-assed" recently, I'm not sure about turning someone loose on a new vehicle, and 2) I'm not...
