My ordering experience was very pleasant, very reminiscent of the above example. That was of course until the dealer notified me my order was canceled. At the end of the day we are at the mercy of individual dealers..you've only scratched the surface on #2 but agreed it sounds pretty good so far. hopefully that continues but "stay on high alert" would be my advice.
This dealership owes you an explanation!I never received any confirmation from Ford which is why I regularly checked from day one. I only got verbal assurances from the sales manager. I had assumed my email was never entered but the order number would not show up in customer service inquiries hence my theory that either it was never was entered due to incompetence or because that number never existed in my name and the dealer used my information to create an order with a different # but entered another email so I couldn’t be contacted by Ford.
Maybe I’ve gotten jaded as I age and this whole episode is just a screwup. I may never know the real story.
Agreed. I sent an email to the sales manager earlier today regarding the refunded deposit and said I assume the order is officially dead as well as venting my frustration. This dealership owes you an explanation!
Consider calling the dealership general manager and explaining your situation! tell him that you are very disappointed and that you were depending on getting a 23 maverick!
Ask him to put aside one of his dealer stock Maverick orders for you at MSRP, and that you will be ever so grateful!
If he says no - consider giving the dealership a scathing Yelp review!
If this is just another scummy dealer, make him pay for his greed and deceit!
That's a reasonable point! Unfortunately I've seen little evidence of particular competence among the database developers (or maybe it's their managers, or some other part of their system, who knows.) But they could not even send basic update emails to all the customers who'd ordered Mavericks, each email seemed to miss many thousands of people who should've gotten them.Well, the only thing is why doesn't simply ford limit the total number of orders via software? As soon as X number of orders are entered and it closes out. This is a fairly easy thing to do in software. They could always reopen the order banks later if they decided they could handle more orders.
I agree. I haven't received one email from dealer or Ford since my 11/1/21 order. I call Ford Consumer Relations [haha](800 392 3673) to get info on my build. All you need is the Sales code and dealer order number or the VIN.If they communicate it soon, that may be the best. Better than wondering for a year what's going on.
That is a BIG question and you will receive many answers. But at this point, with orders now closed, there is only one thing you can do to possibly improve your chances of getting your truck!Question, ordered my 2023 XLT in the last few days it was opened. Received email from Ford stating order was received. Am I in the good?
