On the recommendation of some folks in the forum, I was looking at Flood Ford. They sell genuine "Ford Protect Extended Service Plans" online, which lets you check some numbers. I'm not sure if their prices are accurate for the Maverick, but I'm hoping that they are close. You can test some options at: https://www.floodfordesp.com/
Unfortunately, Florida Residents are not eligible for online service contracts. So I'm stuck finding a Florida Dealer since I'm buying the Maverick through Chapman Ford in Horsham PA with drop ship to Florida.

If you're interested in a Ford genuine extended warranty do an online search first. There are several dealers that sell online at a discount, and it will save you a bunch of money, i.e. Ziegler Ford, Flood Ford, Lombard Ford, and several others. Just search "discount genuine Ford extended warranties. I've bought the same warranty my dealer offered from Flood Ford, and Champion Ford at great savings over my local dealer. The transactions were easy, and smooth. IMO stay away from any third party warranties. They make you jump through hoops to get anything paid.

Tip: Check each one for prices before you buy. Each change their prices from time to time, and the one that was cheapest today may no be the cheapest tomorrow.

It's also a really good idea to see what warranties dealers are offering. Around me, the dealerships are fighting tooth and nail for business, so they're offering really good warranties beyond the manufacturer warranties. I ordered my Maverick through a local dealership that includes a lifetime powertrain warranty with every new or certified pre-owned purchase, redeemable at any Ford dealership in the country. They don't offer any discounts below MSRP on orders, but to me, the extended warranty makes up for that. Sure, there are other components that can get expensive, but not like the powertrain. So I won't be buying a b-to-b extended warranty unless they offer one for stupid cheap.
My dealer has a similar offer only it includes powertrain, engine, and transmission for the MSRP cost, which I'm happy with

Toby, they are accurate at the time you check. Prices change from time to time. As I said above I've bought from Flood, and it was EZPZ.

When I wrote that, they were listing Maverick model years from 2014 through 2022. Since 2014-2021 models didn't exist, and 2022 hasn't been released yet, I questioned whether there was a glitch in the system. I'll check back again once I have my truck.

Edit: They still list some odd years. See attached photo.

The service contract is genuine Ford sold from a Ford dealer. Why would that be illegal in Florida? Maybe it is protection from 3rd party Scammers?

No clue. Here is a snap shot from the Flood website. It won't let me move forward until I change the state.

I just wanted to let you know, we have repeatedly tried to reach you about your vehicle’s warranty expiring.

We've been trying to reach you concerning your vehicle's extended warranty. You should've received a notice in the mail about your car's extended warranty eligibility. Since we've not gotten a response, we're giving you a final courtesy call before we close out your file. Press 2 to be removed and placed on our do-not-call list. To speak to someone about possibly extending or reinstating your vehicle's warranty, press 1 to speak with a warranty specialist.

still won’t stop the calls

truth is extended warranties have 2 value points: when they include service and so help you budget, and when build quality is variable.

if build quality is generally good, no need. If it’s generally bad (Jaguar in some decades should have included a mechanic trained trunk monkey) then you budget that way. It’s the unknowns that can make or break a warranty.

LOVE it. Thanks for the laugh.

The "power train" is the engine and transmission and turbocharger.

I know this is a bit off topic, but be careful how you pay for the extended warranty and gap insurance. I have a close friend who is dealing with a lot of nonsense because he bought it all through a dealership and financed it all. He got a loan through a local credit union and bought an SUV, gap insurance, and extended warranty through a local dealership (not Ford). Last fall, he was in an accident that totaled his SUV. His insurance company paid for the remaining value of the SUV and sent a check to the credit union. He was still upside down by about $5,000. The gap insurance company refused to pay the difference until he received reimbursement from the warranty company for the remainder of the warranty and refused to start the process for that reimbursement until the dealership requested it. And the dealership refused to do so. Now he's being sued by the credit union for the remaining balance on his loan.

As far as I can tell, the best way to avoid all of this is to a.) pay cash for the extended warranty as a separate transaction and b.) get the gap insurance through your regular insurance company.

Through Ford/flood plan it cost me...based on 6,000 miles a year and the plan goes up to 8 years so I looked at the 8 year 60,000 miles and $100 deductible cost $800, 75,000mi $1080, 100,000mi $1190, and 150,000mi $2520. For me I’ll probably get the 8 year @ 75,000 = $1080
very good prices and we’ll worth
i based this on my 14miles a day to work and back because I did simple math of 14x365 we all know we only work 5 days a week but I wanted to add a buffer for trips, shopping, etc so actually for me 8yr @ 60,000mi would be plenty, cost on that one is $800 $100 deduc
