Hats Off to Ford Mobile Service

Today was my annual car maintenance day. With 3 Fords all sitting in the driveway. The Ford Mobile truck pulled up and did the ”works” package on all 3. Started @0900 and was finished by 10:30. Hats off to Ford (for the mobile concept), Lexington Park Ford (for the investment in mobile service) and Mitch (who always does a great job servicing my Maverick, Escape and Nautilis).

I retired from a Ford dealership in Kannapolis NC and they have the mobile service van. It is a great asset to any dealership. And the service manager makes sure the tech that is in the van is current on any new features with the newer Fords. I have had lots of my body shop customers comment on the mobile service and they love the convenience. As it being a money maker , not sure but it is a great addition to any service department. +1 for this service. My dealer sent out their mobile service guy to do the airbag light recall on my '25 Lariat Hybrid. Less than 10 minutes including the paperwork (which actually took longer than the recall fix) done in my garage - WAY better than half a day or more at the service department for sure!

Unfortunately , here in my neck of the woods the closest ford dealer discontinued mobile service . They only did software updates and nothing else . They are out of touch imo . Of course stealership couldn't even get a oil change right . left one bolt/ fastener off fx4 skid plate (missing)and about 1/4 quart low oil . basic car care imo . wouldn't trust them with more involved mechanical repairs .
