Sadly, I have to take the Mav back to the dealership. For some reason, the driverside taillight keeps either turning off completely or turning on, but then turns off when signalling. Could be a fuse, we'll see. There's times where it turns on just fine and others where it's switching between working and not. Here's what it looks like when it's not working:

I think that is not an 'unknown' issue and might be covered in another thread.

Did they mount it on the painted part of the body or on the bumper?

I believe the Ford light bar is actually made by Putco. The dealership probably wired it into the driver side taillight.

I have the Putco Split Bar mounted to the bumper lip just below the tailgate, so the spare tire access hole is completely clear. I also used a Curt T-harness to plug into the factory taillight harness, which, IMHO, makes for a cleaner installation.

It is a Ford-licensed accessory that is made by Putco. It comes with a jumper harness that goes into both taillight assy and has it's own controller box and everything plugs in the factory harness.

The retail version is exactly the same, except for the jumper harness (where my Curt T-harness came into play).

We used to sell and install the Putco bars and the last few years I owned the business they offered a plug and play harness for the F-series. Sounds like they finally made one for the Maverick. I wonder if they've made it available to the aftermarket.

It would be nice if they did offer it separately. But I don't know if they do.

I like your trailer hitch cover! You make it yourself or was purchased?

Ok, I will ask?? What color is the cab roof and does it match the light blue of Massachusetts in the license plate?

Thanks, I thought it was kind of neat since I was a 2nd Class when I got out. I bought it on Amazon.

The truck is Velocity Blue so it's fairly close to the blue in the MA license plate.

Thanks for your service! I was in the Air Force. I’ve been looking for something to cover my hitch but nothing appealed to me until I saw your cover. I’ll start looking on Amazon.
