I actually like the look of the Everest. It’s a good looking SUV for sure. The mileage and price make me appreciate my Maverick more.

As if we need another SUV in the United States. We're over saturated as it is. I do like the fact it's a true body-on-frame truck based SUV and not another wimpy, blobby unibody SUV. I will give unibody's like my Maverick this, they do have the superior ride quality compared to full-frame SUVs. The Maverick drives like a car which is the best part of its driving experience. The bouncy and jittery ride of BOF's is not for everybody but they are more durable, especially off the beaten path.

I really like the Everest but since it would compete with the Explorer I'm sure Ford would never bring it here. So we are left with a rather bland Explorer.

Would be nice, but its pretty dang pricey. Just fooling around on B&P i put together a 4x4 Supercab F350 XL with the offroad packages for about $61,000. It had 10.2" of ground clearance, 33s, rear locker, skid plates, seating for 6, tows 14,000lbs, and has around 3200lb payload.

Gotta remember that this is also in old Aussie dollars, its more expensive in general.

I have seen pictures of these for the last couple of years. They look in my opinion 100% better than the SUV’s being offered here. It is based on the Ranger. That would be a nice size SUV. The only problem is the diesel engine. The price diesel is high because somehow the taxes on diesel are different. Some of the consumer goods might be less if the taxes on diesel wasn’t so high. With the V6 ice engine the fuel economy would match the Bronco.
Australia has had a lot of nice vehicles that never made it here

Doesn’t matter because it’s made there. The drivetrain probably comes from the plants in Asia. The only other country where they might be made and sold is Brazil.
If the truck was built in the USA using the Ranger drivetrain it would cost $70,000

Yup at that point ranger raptor with a shell would be almost 10k cheaper.

Escape,bronco sport,edge? bronco ( corsair ,mkx) 5 seaters
Expedition , explorer, navigator - fat 6 , small 7 seaters

I like the Everes but I don't think we need an Everest Tumor, or Turmor, or whatever

They have to compete with the Rubicon’s and Trailhawks. Ford finally launched that trail version explorer that seems to sit quite low. It seems that the Maverick Sport badlands sits kind of low. I have a Cherokee Trailhawk that seems to do well on the two tracks. There are some roads that you need to drive down to get to to the Manistee River that turn to wet greasy sand when it rains and it got through ok. I would like to replace it with something the size of a sport in a couple years. Hopefully there’s will be a hybrid like the Maverick with the suspension system like the Tremor.

Just copy the bumper style from the tremor version and throw that on the 25. Would make it infinitely better.

BOF is fine with independent suspension. It's the solid axle ones that drive like crap.

US gets the Bronco.
I'd rather have this than the Bronco. Broncos look great and are capable. I was considering one until I drove one. They just feel too cramped on the inside for my family. Wife felt the same. Maverick feels more spacious, at least for the front seats.
