I like this forum very much. I just bought for my wife a 2024 Escape, is it a similar forum for the Escape. Thank you.

Agreed. The Escape is a close relative. Some things similar, but it would be interesting to know if the Escape has things you wished the Maverick had. Did she get a hybrid? Any comparison driving opinions?

Trying to answer your questions: this is a 2024 hybrid Escape Platinum.
I bought for it only one reason: collision avoidance and emergency braking.
My wife lately had two minors fender benders and I was concerned that she might have a more dramatic collision.
The car has 30 000 miles and every possible options ( thing that I have not a big fan off since these things sooner or later will fail and tan t that will be a nightmare). It has a very convenient hatchback and it is surprisingly spacious inside both front and rear, it drive very noise and quiet and we got it with a new battery and ( cheap) new tires. The power is adequate.
It is metallic gray and really is beautiful especially the from at night.
My wife did not wanted a different car but now she is so happy that I did what I wanted to do.

We have an Escape, I think our 4th. And I’m on my 2nd Maverick.
It is a ā€˜23 ST-Line. At the time, it was the best combo of features without having to go Platinum. And the all black, with red stitch, interior was a welcome change.

The Maverick is a stretched Escape. The front floor mats are the exact same. The interior fuse panel is the same. The front seat tracks are the same.

What I miss most is the memory seats. There is no reason they couldn’t have put them in Maverick; everything needed for them is available in the Escape. We basically got the lower end Escape power seat. It could have been an additional package, like it was on the Escape.

No auto dimming mirror is another miss, but that was easy to solve.

And a rear window defroster. Luckily, I haven’t needed it as much as I thought, but come on Ford. I understood they had some hiccups and couldn’t get it for 1st year, but could have had it figured out by the ā€˜25 refresh. Geez, it was in the original ā€˜2a order guide; so you know they wanted to.

When I used to look, I went to https://www.fordescape.org

The girlfriend owns a 2024 Escape ST-Line and likes it. it is her 5th Escape and most likely her last since I don't see her getting an EV which is what is allegedly the coming replacement on the new UEV chassis. I hope Ford comes out with something similar in a hybrid. She looked at Bronco Sport and was not impressed with it.
