The high beam control tied to the lever must be tied into another control instead of the headlight console itself or else it wasnt well marked in car wiring diagrams. I didnt spend a lot of time reviewing all the schematics but probably will later this week since it bugs me. I also decided to pull my pushbutton and install a resister to dim the led once I figure out the size needed. Too bright late at night.

I wired mine up per instructions and they stay on when the high beams come on. Doesn't matter as I wouldn't use both together anyway and would not use high beams in the fog. Doesn't make sense to use the fogs with high beams because having the bright fogs on reflecting back so close reduces your distance sight so it would be one or the other, not both.

I remember someone asking about the high beams the other day. Looking at the wiring diagram, I didnt see wire specific to the high beams either.

Interesting Note:
I have a Lariat and was going to provide another quick plug connection so that my fog lights would go off with my highs versus staying on - just in case I needed it to ever pass inspections. I looked at the wiring diagrams for a 2022 - unknown trim level (mine is a 2023) and I could not see how the low beam wiring would deactivate with the highs on. They do not. When the single high led is on the two low beams for each side are also on. So turning on the high beams in my Lariat keeps the low beams still active. That means on a Lariat the DD wiring will allow the fog lights to remain on with both the low and high beams on. You would have to use their red deactivation wire and hook it into the high beam circuitry to disable the fogs on high beams. Not worth the effort on my Lariat. Not sure if this would apply to the XL and XLT model lighting since I don't know if they use LED headlights.
I attached a pdf of my wiring since in a year I will never remember how it was hooked up since the wires are all in split loom wiring. Print out if you want and mark it up for yours. My switch is not the DD provided one.

Fortunately all Mavericks have LED headlights both high and low beams. The circuitry could be a ball of wax or the same. I have XL and XLT Mavericks.

I updated my wiring diagram to fix two errors and show the change to dim my pushbutton leds since they were too bright at 12V. Added inline 47K ohms (1/4 watt) resistors to the leds after experimenting and now they are the same brightness as all the other yellowish orange leds on my dash (headlight led on console and fan speed leds). I'm sure the same resistance would be needed with all those Chinese leds that are 12mm or 16mm in diameter. I am not hooking up my fogs to disable when the high beams are on....not worth my time or effort. The leds + are wired to the return wire so that they only come on when the pushbutton is latched in. Wording was right before but picture was incorrect.

That's pretty darn awesome, and crafty. Your are an expert with the ohm gauge.

Thank you.

Installed my fog lights yesterday.

2 install tips:

1. Trim the holes bigger than where you sharpie so they sit flush on your bumper.

2. I didnโ€™t use the switch and wired all of my connections on the driver side except for the running light connection over on the passenger side marker connector. I didnโ€™t hook up the deactivation wire for the high beams and no switch installed. Fog lights do stay on during high beams but that doesnโ€™t bother me.

I would never pull my truck apart to do this but if I am ever in a front end accident Iโ€ฆ no still wouldnโ€™t do it.
Wait for a kit that does not make you disassemble your whole front end

I guess itโ€™s not for everyoneโ€ฆI doubt there will be a kit that wonโ€™t require removing the bumper. Removing the bumper took less than 10 min. Wiring takes the most time if you donโ€™t use the crappy t taps included in the kit.
