Fleet order cancellation

Salesman at dealer i contacted last month wrote today. They have 8 white XL EB AWD available, cancelled fleet order. Was I interested?

He was going down list of individuals that contacted them about available stock units.

Also included msrp $24,795 plus $5K ADM.

Wrote back I was interested but most I would pay over msrp is $1K.

Got an email reply that he will talk to owner tomorrow.

I have a $750 PCO and Farm Bureau $500.

I’d be shocked if they don’t get that 5k ADM. it’s not just that it’s the hot new thing, nobody has any inventory on anything right now.

I’d rather walk or ride a bike than pay any of those mfs an ADM.

Maybe if they were like “hey buy this package off of us so we make some money”

they just want 5k straight up

Wonder if they got a quote from Carvana??? Of course, they will add a doc fee, make some money on financing, extended warranties, etc. Hopefully, not window etching and a wax job they call ceramic and more "stuff"...... Plus, they will have the buyers around to use them for service needs.

Maryland suburb Washington DC. I’ll DM you with details if they say “yes” (which I highly doubt).

Some dealers are restricting “fly and drive” sales. I don’t know what their policy is but I‘ll ask if they’ll work with me.

Not letting me use any of the offers I have is a deal breaker since they offset the ADM.

I’ll even take Ford financing but pay off ASAP.

You won't be getting one of those then. They can put then on the lot at 5k over and blink and they will be gone. Youd be lucky to use those discounts on your own order

If they start at a $5k ADM, I would respond that you're on the way there. I would make plans to go to the dealership and begin the conversation. If the response in email is 'no' the dealership will simply move to the next potential buyer. Sitting in the chair at the dealership, the truck may be had for less once they know the entire picture (do they have a genuine buyer , can they place financing for the buyer, does the buyer want an extended warranty, etc..)

Translation: We're getting at least 5k for these and won't be low balled.

Curious how much the MSRP on the Mavericks go up in 2023. I'm guessing AT LEAST 2k. Maybe even +5k if we get a few more months of raging inflation.

Folks can say "I won't pay ADM - I'll wait" all day long but my gut says the longer you wait the more you're going to pay.

Paying 5k for a loaded lariat full of constrained items seemed like a no-brainer decision when bare bones XLs are commanding the same markup.
