A 120v / 15a outlet + level-1 charger provides ~ 1.5 kW max (maybe a little more, but I'm being conservative)
10 hours of over-night charging = 15 kWh in the battery
Assuming your EV gets 3 miles per kWh (again many get closer to 4+, so conservative again...)

So you'll see up about 45 miles of range added to the battery every night. at about 4.5 miles every hour. If you only drive 30 miles ever day, you'll just be topping off your 200-300-mile battery every night, so you'll have plenty of extra run-around range for the weekend.

If your level 1 is on a dedicated 20 amp circuit you'll be able to charge even higher ~1.8 kW+, and if your EV gets 4 miles/kWh you're going get even more range every night.
220v level-2 charging is about 5x-8x faster (maxes out at ~11 kW at home if you've the service for it), but a simple 120v circuit may work for most.

P.S. Depending on where you live, you'll probably pay between 1/3 and 1/6 the cost of electricity to go those 45 miles than you would for gas in a vehicle that gets about 30 mpg. Varies greatly based on your residential utility rate and how much a gallon of go juice costs in your neighborhood.

We have a Chrysler Pacifica Plugin Hybrid with about 35 mile EV range. We changed to a level 2 charger a Grizzl-E Classic ($299 on Amazon) and never looked back. 35 miles range is plenty for our around town trips. For everything else we have the Maverick Hybrid.

I seriously doubt this will be $30k by the time it's available. I also seriously doubt the Slate will be under $30k, either. But the Telo MIGHT be in it's estimated price range of $40-45k, because they've done their homework. Between this Ford thing at $35k and the Telo at $45k, I'd go with the Telo; and I'm a tightwad.

why fire?
I totally get the limited chance that it will get to market. Canoo folded before coming to market. Fisker folded right after getting a few to market. With the iron claw lock the Big Three have on US vehicle companies, it would be a miracle if any new Merkun car companies are allowed to start up. I think a lot of the hope by these start-ups is that one of the Big Three will buy their company and just stick a Ford/GM/Stellantis badge on it.

But, if there were a significant number of people who wanted a small, efficient "pickup", then the Big Three would be working fast to get them one; like this Ranchero. Which means that people DO want a compact "pickup". Or more likely, one that doesn't cost their entire annual income; before taxes.

Note on the Fisker Ocean; I know a guy, a real douchebag, who got on the pre-order list with a deposit because he really wanted one for some vain reason. He spent the full $70k for the one with the most gadgets, and in less than a month after he picked it up they folded. The same model was wholesaling for under $20k at the factory. As far as I know, warranty ceased to exist, service ceased to exist. I enjoyed the schadenfreude immensely, because he's a piece of work. I have not heard that he's had any problems with it, darn it, so it's still on the road in LA, I think. Maybe LV.
