Have pulled this trailer, approximately 1800 lbs, with my Cub snow blower tractor a couple of times, but this weekend is the one where I haul a bunch of tables to the fairgrounds for the local ham radio club for their annual "Hamfest" show.exhibitors. Count was down a bit this year so we loaded 42 tables on the 16' trailer and hauled em 25 miles. Brett the Maverick handled that 3000 lb load like a pro! Yup, I know its a grand under max and that's ok. I've hauled as many as 70 with the F150 and that would have put things a bit closer to max, but for this load there was plenty of power to get moving and the rig was stable as it it was on rails.

I'm not at all dissapointed with my decision to downsize and to do it with this Maverick "Grabber!"

I did my first tow last week, I didn't even know the trailer was behind me, it had plenty of power. The big test will be with my boat and tractor. That tractor with trailer is around 3700 pounds give or take. I will let you know.

Curious to know the mileage you got. I did a U-Haul 6X12 Cargo trailer with a not so favorable experience. It acted like one wheel had a locked brake. Hubs didn't get hot so...?
3 hours round trip and a tank of gas. Total weight couldn't have been over 1K and most of the highway miles were empty.
Pulled my utility trailer with similar weight from NY to FL and back with absolutely no issues so I'm thinking one of the axles was not aligned or bent. More likely bent.

Might have a video from my dash cams as I entered the grounds yesterday. Put one together last night but there was a problem in the files that wouldn't let me save it. Decided to try again when not so rushed. Stay tuned!

When I went out to put the trailer away this morning the indication was 20.4 Avg. That would be for an empty trip to the gas station, loaded down, unloaded back, then unloaded down and loaded back. So two trips with empty trailer and two trips heavy. I'll take it. My F150 3.5 EB usually ended up in the 14-15 range.
