I would say this is incorrect. Each Dealer has a line. When it comes to a particular dealer, Ford may pass up #1 in line to produce #2 in line based upon parts availability.
This is exactly what happens! A lot of builds at my dealership that ordered after I did, July 5th, got build dates, whereas I'm still waiting. Most of those that got build dates didn't have SIBL. I've since dropped the SIBL, but still haven't received a build date yet!

I too dropped the SIBL on my EB. I did that in November hoping that would kick start things. But still I know there are people in front of me at my dealership, so the wait continues. I really wish I was one of the lucky ones who jumped in while the dealers were empty, but where I'm at there is just too much demand.

I hope your right, mine was ordered August 20, and I haven’t received an email with a build date. Lariat FE, Rapid Red, Hybrid, Luxury Package, 360 and mud flaps.
I ordered mine on the 8/23/21 rapid red to I can't wait

I heard something today about Reservation? If you had one before your order, then once "order" is confirmed because of "reservation" that moves you ahead. Kind of like a reservation at a restaurant. If that makes sense?

Yeah, the reservation thing is long gone. Once converted to an order, it’s just like any other order. Dealers are pretty much fifo, but Ford is not.

If you didn't catch it last night on my live stream, I mentioned that the First Edition will need to get scheduled in the 22MY production and that they will build them all. I also stated that Ford will probably make sure they all get scheduled in a certain week. Looks like that might be this week.
OK, forgive my stupidity here. I ordered 2 Mavericks in mid-August. Both hybrids. You're telling me they actually might get built soon? Also, both have spray-in bedliners and the cheap tonneau covers. Are you saying that if we take those options off we might get our builds sooner?
Thanks to anyone who can help me with this, including the Ford Video Guy. Much appreciated.

If Ford is doing this for all the 1st Edition Mavericks, then I'm guessing that the regular monthly allocations that dealerships receive won't matter? So if Ford can schedule all the 1st Editions regardless of when it was ordered why can't they schedule remaining June and July orders regardless of dealership allocations?
My question exactly. I understand supply chain issues etc. but I don’t get how identical vehicles ordered months after some June & July orders have already been delivered while many “old timers” still don’t have build dates.

This has been my major and only gripe about the whole Maverick experience!! I've no problem waiting when there's a supply shortage, or shut downs because of 🤒, or trucker shortages, but when someone who orders the same exact Maverick as I do months after I did and gets a build date or now in some cases has received their Maverick, this is what pisses me off!! The whole crappy allocation system given to dealerships isn't/doesn't work when you have to order online! Ford should've re-vamped their ordering system instead of going with the same old, same old!! How do they expect to attract, let alone keep, customers with this system of picking who gets a build date?!!

True, but if they aren't getting produced in order there's not much of a line then, is there? Probably a philosophical difference between us.

I have a late August FE order, however I also just put a deposit down on an Ioniq 5 that is slated to arrive on the 27th. If my FE gets scheduled this week it's going to force me to make a difficult decision.
