Filling the tailgate gap ?

Anyone come up with a way to fill in the gap at the top of the tailgate? I want to have my bed pretty much water tight under my Tonneau when we haul luggage, etc, but this large area lets water in. I have weather stripping on the bed to seal the rest of it but this was a bad design as far as I am concerned

My cover came with the seal for the tailgate. It's called a dust seal but it keeps most of the water out. A few drops still get in.

Could you show us an example?

My Comanche had flat sides on both the tailgate and the bed leaving about a half inch gap on sides and bottom easily sealed with the same kind of tape my current Tonneau cover came with that I used on the bottom and about 3/4 of the way up on the sides. The bed stayed bone dry.
