A guy in a fairly large Facebook group has a Rouge Plant decal on his truck and claims a few Mavericks were built there very early in MY22. I immediately asked for his VIN and don't expect an answer.

Has anyone ever heard of this? I'm 99.99% certain the sticker was bought online and applied, whether it was the current owner or before he bought it and he actually believes the story.

The difference between lying and just being wrong sometimes just takes a lack of awareness that you're wrong. And it's not Rogue, it's Rouge as in a shade of the color red, or in this case, the Rouge River in Michigan.

Not a chance. If it was a hand-built Engineering/test mule, it would have never been sold to the public.

I'd need more proof than a $20 sticker, which was always placed on the windshield, not the back window.

Also let him know his sticker is peeling a little on the lower edge.

The plant stickers are put in the lower right windshield, not the rear window.

I'm confused on the importance of this person's claim. Who cares where it was built and why is it so important it's a "Rouge"?

Reviewing his post that I took a screenshot of and attached to the first message here, it is clear that he wants to take pride in a truck built in the USA.

I am still not sure if he is gullible and believes what someone else told him, or if he's a troll just stirring the pot, or if he's a liar who really wants people to believe this.

I would think most of the test mule MY22 Mavericks have been crushed by now, but I agree with HRG that they don't get sold to the public, ever. If this person is a Ford employee driving a Ford test mule, he's still trolling.

Because truth is always important! This is just a wild-a** claim by a fool trying to spread rumors. These people need to be stopped from their nonsense.

Others have already pointed out the correct location for the sticker. @colinl knows it too from his wife's Bronco probably why he called this guy on his BS.

Sorry, but I've been around too many dishonest people who lie about everything for little to no reason. So I'm gonna take this with a massive grain of salt. People in the car scene love to make things up if they think it'll make their car more unique.
