Is it only me but are the windshield wipers or motor poor quality?

They wipers tend to skip/rattle along the surface sometimes and make a lot of noise when being used.

I'm wondering if anyone got some better improvements by changing the wiper or having the motor replace (i've heard that some mav's wiper motors already broke, which is absurd).

RainX is your friend.
I put Rain-x on all my cars. I've driven hours in the rain without using wipers once. Could never go back.

I also used Turtle Wax ceramic and then topped with Rain-X on my last round, made it even better.

I don't think I've used the Maverick wipers once except to test them to make sure they work.

so, just how old are your wiper blades. Your symptoms, on the whole sound like old blades.

how often are you supposed to replace wiper blades? Received mine July '22. Didn't think I'd need to replace them that soon because its not like I use the blades daily.

Time for a change Alvin. ;) general consensus is 12 months though I've generally gone a bit longer. My truck is a few months old and I've already have a set in my amazon cart.

I live in an area that gets a lot of rain and haven't had to swap my factory wipers yet...But, I did a rain-x treatment when it was new (as i've always done on previous vehicles for years, even cleaned it with 0000 steel wool and vinegar prior to applying rain-x) but after a month or so, I noticed a hazy film and removed it.

I liked the factory wipers so much I ordered another pair. They are great, especially being less than $20 compared to the "name brand" ones that are no different.

You can service the MC ones and flip the blades but not easily. So if you are replacing wiper blades, look for ones you can service and flip around. That will help life span. Every 6 months or so should do. Also, never use alcohol on them to clean them. You really don't need to use any solvents at all. Just wipe them down occasionally after a car wash with a damp drying towel to keep the debri out of the rubber.

Don't overpay for wiper blades. Keep it simple and find ones that allow you to flip the rubber and they will outlast some of the more expensive ones that are only charging you for the name.

Link to my list of part numbers that includes the factory wiper blades, which can be found on Rock Auto for less than $20.

I’m still on my original wipers that came with the truck. I have a 2022 Maverick and they still work as good as when I bought it.

I should have mentioned that I have rain-x on my windshield...lol
Not sure what you might have going on there.....maybe some defective blades that have worn out prematurely?

You should never have such issues, especially with RainX treated glass. I'm still on my original wipers, going on 14 months, 30K miles, truck sits out 24/7. They are smooth & silent on my RainX treated windshield.

I would reapply the RainX ( I do this every 2 months or so), and try a new set of blades.

I have a general rule with any of my cars I just changed the blades right before the year the inspection.
