I take delivery of my 2.0L ECO later this week, today got a call from the dealership asking if I want to buy extended warranty. I'd like any feedback on the topic.
Because I don't drive a lot, the package quoted is 80K (km), NOT miles, and 8 years, for me 10K KM a year is more than enough, and the price they quoted is $2000 CDN, (almost $1400 USD).

What do you think?

Thankfully all of the feedback you could ever want now exists at the bottom of this thread as search results for the topic from this forum.

Thanks, I was leaning to the direction of "no extended warranty" and the posts essentially drove the nail in extended warranty coffin.

Ya they don’t sell them to lose money.
They have massive profits from the sale that tells you all you need to know. Can they work sure but the numbers are not in your favor. Would you rather have your odds or the casinos odds when gambling? I also don’t get any extended warranty on anything. But my dealer does a free 10 year 100k drivetrain. So I have that on the maverick

I used to be skeptical of these, but the Ford warranties came out under $27 a month; not much more than burgers, fries and shakes at a fast food joint. One or two computer box replacements will pay for them.
I can cancel any time and receive a pro-rated refund.

Just bought a flood Ford ESP plan. Seven years 100,000 miles $200 deductible. $1440. Plus I was able to use 20,000 of the FordPass points to save another $100. I am very satisfied.

On my 2024 Ecoboost AWD Lariat I got full warranty out to 100,000 MILES/8 Yrs for $2,000.00
Plus I got a credit for $1,050.00 when I traded my 2021 Bronco sport. Base in with 57,000 miles.

Pay attention now !
On the Bronco Sport it cost me $2,400.00 dollars because I waited till I had $35,000 miles before I bought it.

These very complex Mavericks are expensive to fix, a transmission could easily top $6,000.00.
It’s reasonably cheap Insurance.
Mine works out to $400 a year per my annual mile estimate.
Or $33 a month, I’m in like Flint.

There are options, keys, lights, rentals are these included the price seams to good , find out what's covered there are many plans. Also the longer you wait the more it costs. I paid 1500 for best plan all included when I had 5k 80k,8yr. dealer wanted 3k, search Granger
