So today I wanted to test the remote start from the FordPass app before I put my child in the car to go to daycare. I park on the far side of the drive way (because my wife gets the close parking spot, lol) and it gives me an unobscured view under the vehicle. As I was approaching, I noticed a jet of exhaust shooting directly at the ground from below the vehicle, directly under the rear-passenger portion of the cab.

It is a little difficult to see but I have attached a video for reference. Has anybody else experienced this?

I already have an appointment for tomorrow morning to have this checked out but I wanted to make this post just in case it is occurring for others and maybe they haven't noticed.

That's a weird location. My first thought before seeing the video was just from the weird turned down exhaust pipe end at the back of the truck, billowing back under the truck. But after seeing the video, I see it is directly coming out where you say.

I see you have the EcoBoost. Do you have SIBL? Maybe drilled through the exhaust? I'd definitely take that in. Now I am going to go check mine!

This is normal, it's been covered multiple times here. One of the byproducts of a catalytic converter is water when it converts unburned hyrdocarbons into water and carbon dioxide. The water has to escape somewhere. If it sat in the bottom of these super cheap mild steel garbage mufflers that Ford uses they would rot out well before the warranty was up. It's normal.

It’s a drain hole in the muffler so water doesn’t settle there. Water builds up, gets hot when car is turned on and turns to vapor. Will come out tailpipe AND the drain hole bc it’s there
