I was told 4/5 months they were back logged with orders, that was a joke, I had another vehicle didn't care, I was on all the websites I knew it was going to be much longer, also knew not to put anything on my order that was going to hold it up, at that time the lux package was a problem didn't care wanted the heated seats. remove all that stuff that can bolt on from your order you have something simple as mud flaps could delay you months. I ordered everything on the ford website came in less than a week @20% off they delivered it to my dealer free, it was in my garage when my truck came in 9 months later. the day I got my truck I installed tonneau cover, hood protector, matts, tailgate shock all in just over a hour.
By the way the dealer has no idea when or how fast you vehicle comes in, they get the same emails you do if you get any, you will likely get one when you get build date than maybe few weeks later you'll get a vin than when truck is built then again when shipped than a about a month later depending on your location when it reaches the dealer. The dealer is a order taker only.

Just passed the 8-month mark here as well for my XLT Hybrid. Have been a Priority 10 the entire time and had to get past the rollover orders. The only thing that I wished Ford would do is remove the hitch from the XLT Lux package. If they did that, I know I'd have a VIN by now. But since I won't order it without the package, I sit and wait. 😕
The hitch in a package isn't the constraint. It is the stand alone hitch that is the constraint. If you looked at all the people that have gotten scheduled this week most have these add-on packages and are just fine.

I had a delightful conversation with someone at Ford.com. The scheduling/production is shifted weekly based on their ability to quickly get the trucks out the door. Any delayed parts moves you down the list.
I waited the typical 15 months to get mine.

And this is why some people (me) pay $3k to drive one off the lot the third day I went looking for one.

My dealer informs me that they have NOTHING to do with setting priority. Galaxy Ford Smithville TN.
The dealer can change it to a “10”. The order defaults to a “19” when the order is placed, but they can change it to a “10”. My dealer done that for me before I left the desk after placing my order when U asked him to.

Drop the mud guards and soft cover. 3% of orders in MY2023 will have them (mud guards). You can just buy a set that are the same on Amazon for fifty bucks and install it yourself.

That's probably what's keeping your order from being scheduled. Get rid of them immediately. Contact your dealer.

Honestly get rid of anything that you can easily install yourself. You added a soft cover too, adding another constraint to your order. You can buy one and install it yourself easily.
I got rid of all constraints a year ago and it accomplished nothing

I'm not saying you should remove every constraint. I'm only saying remove constraints that are easy to add on yourself after receiving the vehicle. There should be no reason why people order the mud flaps when it's so easy to install yourself aftermarket. You're only shooting yourself in the knee by keeping it on your order.

As always, dealer allocation remains the king in whether or not you even get scheduled.

I ordered my '22 XLT in July of '21 and took delivery the following April. A total of 9 months and 6 days to be exact. Sounds like not much has changed but if it means anything I would tell you it was worth the wait. It's a pretty hot ticket apparently. Anticipation is half of the experience, in my..........experience.
