Noooo.....he just needs to get a "thinner" frame. Cops in Texas will give you a warning for this as the plate is obstructed. Slightly obstructed...but still obstructed. As this post has shown.....

How ironic in that in reality, it wasn't you. Sorry you have to deal with this. One might think the parking enforcer would take more effort to ensure accuracy.

There is a long time law that protects enforcement agents from making these mistakes and taking any blame… it’s call the “oopsies” rule. Im sorry you have to deal with this stupid waste of your time. Been there, but my story is too long and involves my plate being hijacked.

Along w/ the photo of the Taco tailgate, there is a photo of the dash, but there is a card over where the VIN is showing.

a lot of people are worried someone will take a photo of their VIN and use it for nefarious purposes.

Did they cite intentionally obscuring the VIN? That's a felony in California. And the comment about an obstructed plate is valid, too.

No, I simply got a parking ticket. That makes sense, however. I doubt the owner did it intentionally.
