There is a long time law that protects enforcement agents from making these mistakes and taking any blame… it’s call the “oopsies” rule. Im sorry you have to deal with this stupid waste of your time. Been there, but my story is too long and involves my plate being hijacked.

Except the duties of being a regular cop versus those of one issuing parking tickets are vastly different. Clearly, the former is more dangerous than the latter.

Debatable. I suffered two years arguing multiple toll violations in New Jersey. A state I have not set foot in since 1971 and never will again. They claimed plate was VT 277 on a GMC pickup. VT registered trucks have a TRK plate not a passenger car plate.

Two years of multiple late fees and the fine was well into the hundreds of dollars. Finally got it resolved. Again, what should have been an easily resolved issue by checking DMV records turned into a two year clusterfark because people don't do their jobs.

Another reason to remove the dealer frame! I always take those off and toss them in the trash - they are just ugly. There are plenty of nice options online with a thinner frame and NO dealer logos.
