Ecoboost brake problem

Hello there first time poster here , I have a lariat lux awd 4k and have been having issues with noisy brakes it kind of feels and sounds like a grinding but then when you go slow it sounds like metal to metal squeaking / or birds chirping. I took it to the dealer today and they said it’s normal and that it’s because of a motor on the firewall for the electric brakes , but I really don’t think ford would build a new truck and have the brakes sound like they are worn out , I’ll try to attach a video I took of the noise . Any input is helpful and appreciated

I have two Lariat Lux, FX4, one 4K and one not. I pickup one in Nov, 2021 the other in May, 2022. I have never heard any sound from the brakes on either truck.

UPDATE…. I took the maverick to a different dealer today who heard the noise and acknowledged there is an issue , they are going to try new brake pads first, they said they can’t really see anything wrong but there is definitely an issue . So they are starting with the pads and will go from there . I will update as time goes by I know they had to order brake pads so it may be a couple weeks. Fingers crossed maybe I found a dealer that wants to help

Update 8/1/22 the dealer put new brake pads on the front and said there was grease on the rotors as well so they cleaned that off too and everything so far is going good still what I call a grinding but that honestly may be just the way it sounds , it’s nothing horrible but the squeaking is gone along with the weird braking feeling which I sailed to mention earlier so if your having issues ask the dealer to put new pads on and clean the rotors

I know on my 2011 F-150 ecoboost there is a electrical vacum pump to get vacum to the power brakes. Not sure why that would cause the noise you are hearing.

Glad you found a dealer that may know what they are doing . I have area51 eco fx4 . and no brake noise or unusual sounds . keep bitching if not fixed . nice to see ford administration taking an interest .

9/4/22 UPDATE!!!!! So as of a couple days ago my brakes started doing the exact same thing they did before they put the new pads on , you hit the brakes and they make all kinds of noise , there were no issues for a month and now here it is again , I’m going to take it back to the dealer and see what they say this time. I find it hard to believe that 2 sets of pads are doing the same thing but anything can happen but I’m wondering if it may be a caliper , rotor , or something like that but we will see what they say but this is getting really annoying to say the least , just wanted to give an update . I will update again after I talk to the dealer

Hey there I would take it to the dealer and see what they say, on mine they just ended up putting some anti squeal on the pads which helped with the squeaking noise sone but the grinding was still there , I got tired of all the issues with the truck and traded mine in for a 23 ford Ranger. I had many issues with my maverick it was a cool looking truck but this Ranger is 1000 tines better in my opinion , good luck on your situation let me know if they figure yours out cause they never did on mine

Silly question- On the Eco/Lariat with Lux- Window sticker says Electronic brake boost- Is that something different than the trailer brake controller ?
